The Geese

The four geese that were added to the pond earlier this year have now grown in number by the hatching of a group of goslings - six when I counted them this morning.  Potentially, that is a total of 10 geese (practically a flock!) on the pond.I am concerned about the welfare of the geese, too - given the dry weather there isnt really enough for them to eat and in view of the location of the pond at the junction of a pretty busy road - its quite likely that this flock will be at risk from and…See More

wind speeed

Would you be interested in the wind speed and direction at 8am in mornings?

Wind turbines---love them!

Can't see them on the green at Burnham Market, though.

Come and have a cup of tea and homemade cake in the garden of St. Henry Walpole's catholic church, at the Burnham Market Craft Fair, Aug18th. Proceeds to Wells Cottage Hospital.

Am waiting for a rain guage to arrive from America----hopefully, by the time it arrives we won't need it!

It would have beeen interesting to see how much rain we have had in June and July.

Foreigner Creates Stanhoe Website!

I'm not really a foreigner!

My father and aunt were born and raised in Heacham. I spent most of my childhood in Brancaster. I went to university in Norwich. If it weren't for my Dutch ancestors, most of the fenland would still be under water. My work as an actor keeps me in London, but Judy and I will end up in Stanhoe when it all gets too much.

If you're Norfolk born and bred, please don't be put off joining this social network. I'd love to see old photos of the village and to read…
